Weeks 19, 20, and 21.

Phew, I don't know how many times I can say it, but I have really been slacking!!

Week 19:
We went for our 2nd trimester anatomy ultrasound. Baby looked amazing as always, and was actually measuring a week big. Chris went with me to this ultrasound nad was in awe of everything. He wasn't able to go to the first one, so this was a new experience for him! The best part of the appointment was when we found out we are having a BOY!!! I think that was Chris' favorite part and was so very, very proud. We have already settled on a name (before we even thought about babies) and are going with Christopher Musso Patrick III. I'm not a huge fan of the long name and neither is Chris. We have been tossing around some nicknames and so far have come up with: CP3 (basketball star, favorite player) Moose (cutest ever!) and I like Topher, but Chris has already crossed that right off the list!! After the appointment we went to Babies'RUs and started our registry. We settled on a nursery theme (Bow Wow Buddies.. Puppies with sports) We also hit up the clearance rack and got quite a few outfits for our little man.

Week 20:
The biggest change that I saw this week was my belly button starting to come out! It is the most awkward looking thing, and I play with it constantly!! I also had a doctor's appt and I have started to (finally) gain some weight. Everything looks great, and even though the ultrasound said he was measuring big, my OB isn't changing the due date until later in the pregnancy, if he keeps measuring big.

Week 21:
Considering today is the first day of the 21st week, I don't have much to report. This weekend was full of back aches and pains from this growing belly of mine.
Cravings so far: Oreos & milk. Strawberry milkshake & fries. Pizza. Soda.

Um?? How could I forget?!

Completely forgot to mention in the last post the BEST thing to happen to me the entire pregnancy!

I FELT THE BABY MOVE! I felt it when I was sitting in the car, waiting for Chris to get Subway. He comes out and looks at me (I was crying) and he couldn't figure out what was going on! Since I've told him, his hand is always on my belly waiting to feel it move.

I LOVE the feeling! I found that Baby P moves more after I have had yogurt, ice cream, or milk and then lay down or sit still for about a half hour.

Week 17 & 18

Whew... I'm not very good at keeping up on this thing! As much as I would like to, all I seem to be able to do is read other blogs and not contribute to my own.

Anyway, these past 2 weeks have been good for the most part. Every night, minus a few (great) nights, I have had killer heartburn. I have found that cookie dough ice cream is the best cure, and I'm sticking to it!
Chris is out of town this week, so first thing on my agenda: craft stores! I didn't do much buying at all, but I spent hours between Joann's, Michael's. and A.C. Moore's. I found a ton of cute ideas and would love to get started on them all! I can actually come through on that promise in a week! We find out next week (Wednesday) what we are having!!!!! Beyond excited and cannot wait!

Happy New Year!

It is finally 2012! More than anything, this means it is finally the year our little one will be here!
2012 also means I will finally be done with school (unless I go on for a Master's).

Christmas was wonderful and Baby P was blessed with a few odds and ends. Like I mentioned in the previous post, Aunt Marina and Uncle Tim got us a tabletop swing. Baby P also got an Elmo book, an elephant rattle, a Peek a Boo bunny, a basketball piggy bank, and a cute little outfit. I'd say for not being here yet, Baby, you are SPOILED!

Today, Grandma and Poppa (Pop Pop, Grandpa??) and Uncle Johnny came up for Christmas and we had a great time!! I wish we lived closer, but these visits are extra special.

I have decided to not do many resolutions this year, because I rarely follow through on them and with a baby on the way... I doubt any would make it past June. Until June at least, I would like to cook more. I have written out a list of new recipes that I have never tried before and hope to make one at least once a week. I have already made one, Chris' Ma'mere's Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. They were delicious and I hope the rest are as successful as they were.

Other than that, I hope this year will bring good health for all, guidance and patience for Chris and I becoming new parents, and appreciation for all we have been blessed with.

17 week update to come soon!

Happy 2012!!
